Maroney is the Senior Vice President and Manager, Financial Products Group at City Underwriting Agency, Inc. (CUA, Lake Success, NY), a leading provider of comprehensive insurance products and services. He lends over 27 years of experience in a wide range of insurance products and services. Mr. Maroney's insurance expertise extends over vast lines including: Surety ,Contract and Non-Contract; Fidelity, Commercial and Financial Institutions; Directors and Officers Legal Liability Insurance; Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) and other Errors and Omissions Insurance. As evidence of his industry knowledge and achievement, Mr. Maroney was honored with achievement certificates in Surety, both on the primary and advanced levels. An active and well-respected member of the industry, Mr. Maroney has held many leadership positions. He was Director, Regional Vice President, and Chairman of various committees for the NASBP. He served as President of The Fidelity and Surety Association of the City of New York and has been an active Board Member of the Surety Information Office. In addition he holds memberships in the Construction Financial Managers Association, The General Contractors Association of New York, The Association of Contractors, The Subcontractors Trade Association, and the Long Island Contractors Association. Mr. Maroney graduated from St. Francis College (Brooklyn, NY) with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He began his insurance brokerage/agency career with Fred. S. James & Co. (Currently part of Marsh Inc.), in 1976. In 1989, he joined The Leonard Newman Agency, an Affiliate of The Bank of New York. Since 1991, he has been an integral part of the City Underwriting family. Mr. Maroney resides in North Merrick, NY with his wife and their daughter. |
